Woman Sets Herself Ablaze
A Senegalese woman set herself on fire at Rome's city hall in an apparent protest over a visit to Italy by Senegal's President. The woman is identified as an activist for the rights of Senegalese immigrants and chose to protest against a visit to Italy by Senegal's President.
Dramatic images of the suicide attempt was captured on a closed-circuit security video.
The woman, who was actually doused in oil, was seen walking at the Campidoglio square, and within minutes, she set herself ablaze with a lighter.
A policeman patrolling the area though shocked acted quickly by getting an extinguisher to save the woman. A security camera installed by the police captured the entire event.
It is reported that the woman is in a serious condition.
